Tailspin
Spiraling down to the depths,
Of my darkest thoughts
Needing to come up for air,
Yet drowning in my own pain.
My anger is the poison,
My thoughts are my demons
My heart aches with sorrow
My body punished for no reason
My self-confidence shattered
My sanity questioned
In order to survive
I must look in the mirror
What will I see?
Only the truth…I think.
My mirror will not lie
I am sure of that
It may be hard to see
But I must see to grow
Now I am stronger
I saw in the mirror
What has always been there,
Yet was too afraid to come out.
