The Rage




The rage builds inside me
Needing to come out
The atrocities committed
The senseless waste
Countless lives lost
The injustice of suffering
The need to strike out
The need to hurt and maim
As I hurt for those lost
The rage has control of me
The blood lust grows stronger
The need to retaliate consumes
Crying tears for the lost ones
Heart aches for those left behind
Grounding to survive the pain
Needing to feel love to continue
A caress, an embrace & a cuddle
Helps renew my faith in our world.
A blossoming of love toward others
An elemental dislike of a foe grows
The anger subsides as we unite.
