In The Haven Of My Heart
In the darkness of my mind
The thoughts which consume me
Closing my eyes, losing sight
Floating on the clouds inside
One holds me here
Grounded to reality
He keeps me focused
When I need it most
Within the walls of my heart
Is a door leading within
It is the only opening
And he holds the key
In my time of need
He’s the only one
Who begs me to take heed
And I hear his words
He doesn't realize that I do not control
He’s the one holding me tight
He’s the one who keeps me whole
And I cling to that whole heartedly
To keep me held here
Grounded to our reality
Holding one so dear
In the haven of my heart.
